A Poem | River Water

River Water

Two words that sound nice together
For no reason
Other than the way I perceive them.
Me and my thoughts in this skull, alone,
Like river water
Tumbling through crevices I carved myself.

Two words that sound nice together
For no reason
Other than the way I perceive them.
Me and my thoughts in this skull, alone,
Like river water
Tumbling through crevices I carved myself.

Two words that sound nice together
For no reason
Other than the way I perceive them.
Me and my thoughts in this skull, alone,
Like river water
Tumbling through crevices I carved myself

Until I am caught, trapped, recycled.
Through my estuary, I’m spit out
Into a sea I only know too well:
A sanctuary of savagery that is all the same wet.
It polishes me finely into a stone,
Into a pebble, into a dust. Leave me

While I find myself back
In the river water.
Two words that sound nice together
For no reason
Other than the way
I perceive them.

Space

Stay gold,
Sabrina
